This is what i have posted in diablo 3 forums if it helps ,

I had no problems with diablo 3 since launch on my pc until today. I experienced a black screen while playing diablo 3 , my pc wasn't responding at all and i practically had to manually power it off by hitting on the power on/off button.

Also , im having frame rate latency problems too at the same time , when fps drops to 10-15 from the usual 60ish fps for a split second.

I have no idea what is the problem, is it my computer or the game itself. For now i might try to reinstall diablo 3 and update my drivers ( apparently i haven't did anything to my computer that made it crash like that , it was fine for the past 3 weeks )

My pc specs are these

windows 7 64 bits
zotac z68 itx + intel i5 2500k
8gb ram
evga 560ti DS
power supply = default 600W bronze comes with silverstone sg-07 case
Did not overclock or anything
hdd = WD 1tb black + crucial 128gb ssd

thats all i guess. hope these info helps.

1st time when my pc froze ) playing the game normally and suddenly my screen goes off , pc went into coma state.

2nd time ) was browsing the AH and pc went into coma

3rd time ) i did a prime 95 run for 2hrs and there was no error. i STOPPED the test and launch diablo 3 . After 5minutes in D3 , my pc goes into coma.
This is the error report when i got BSOD for the 4th time

razerhid.exe - This is a Razer mouse driver, they are known to cause BSoDs (the exact ones you are having), try getting a new driver: Razer Support
You may need to remove this driver and use the default Windows driver, this is worth doing for testing purposes.
Keyboard and mouse hardware failures and driver issues cause a lot of crashes.

Remove CPUZ 1.35 and get the latest version CPU-Z 1.60.1

Other drivers that need updates or removed:
Code:
GEARAspiWDM.sys Mon May 18 20:17:04 2009 - CD-ROM Class Filter Driver by Gear Software Also comes with iTunes

Un-install iTunes for testing purposes, this is known to cause crashes.

hello thanks , i'm confused after reading this part ,
"Do I see a message pop up or appear in my error log that states "such and such display driver has stopped responding and was recovered"? "
And no i dont see that warning at all.

If you answered Yes to ALL of these three questions continue on, if you answered No then you probalby have another issue that more than likely revolves around hardware. If you are unsue then by all means read on
should i proceed ?

edit: i ran furmark and saw my gpu at 80 deg C , i ran it for 10seconds and it went kept going up to 97 deg C , i think it is over heating so i stopped the test. What do u think ?

Re-read my first post, I have been adding information as it is found.

Yes that temp is too high.

Have you cleaned your computer case?

Are you overclocking anything on your system?
If you are then return all settings to stock until the cause of the crashes are found.

Will continue here.

From your events log-apps:
Code:
Event[16]:
  Log Name: Application
  Source: Microsoft-Windows-WMI
  Date: 2012-06-04T14:38:46.000
  Event ID: 10
  Task: N/A
  Level: Error
  Opcode: N/A
  Keyword: Classic
  User: N/A
  User Name: N/A
  Computer: SiewITX
  Description:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

This is indicating a CPU error, if OC'ing stop and return to default settings in your BIOS.

Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums

Have you been checking your temperatures?
Use Real Temp , to check the CPU temps when at idle, under load and/or testing.
Let us know the minimum and maximum temps you get.

Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.

yeah i removed itunes and the razer driver , as i do not use that mouse anymore.

removed my old cpuid and installed the latest version.

i didnt expect the problem to be my gpu to be overheating tbh , my gpu has 2 fans and 1 of the fan isn't working ( not spinning ) .
I thought it was fine , i can play games without crashing my pc for about a year , managed to play diablo 3 for 2 weeks before having any problems until now.

I'll see if these helps and update later , thanks for helping , i appreciate it . :)

edit : i did not O/C , i clean my computer case less than a month ago

edit 2 : yes i have real temps , my cpu temperature are fine , 50 deg C idle , 60-65 at load

First thing, 50°C at idle is not good, it should be a couple degrees above ambient, mine idles at ~28°C, a stock CPU cooler should be ~33°C.

Check if the CPU heatsink is tight, firmly attached.
You will likely need to remove the heatsink, clean and re-apply the thermal paste.
This is very likely the cause of the event log listed above and can/will cause crashes.

Post the voltage info requested.
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.

50 deg C at idle is normal for me , my ambient is 33 deg and my case is mini itx, anyway i just checked my temps again , its 42 deg at idle

edit : bought my gpu down for RMA because of the fan , they gave me a similar card in return , idle temps 45-50 , when playing diablo 3 my temps are 70-75. I don't think i will get bsod anymore for the time being , will update here if the problem still exist. thx again for your help dave
