hello everyone,

I have been having some issues when playing some games recently. My system will lock up on me in game and then my pc will reset. I would like some assistance with trying to figure out if this is a hardware issue with either of my GTX 970s. I have uploaded my .dmp file from the crash.

Thanks again

P

Please try uploading the DM Log collector again. I opened it once, but now it says invalid attachment. When I opened it the first time there seemed to be something wrong with it, and it is still 1 dump file but the dump file you uploaded before and this one seemed a little different. In the meantime please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also please run these online virus scanners

Scan with Kaspersky TDSSKiller:
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
ESET online scanner:
Free Virus Scan | Online Virus Scanner from ESET
Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET
Superantispyware
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

Let me know the results of both and upload the DM Log collector in a new post.

pcmgrath, I'm not sure what is happening. I would just like to show you something. This is not yours, but it is a typical dump file when we first open it in our debuggers.

Basically it is saying every driver in your system couldn't load.

The first thing I would like you to do is uninstall Dameon tools.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause of BSOD's.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
- Double click the executable to open it
- Click the button shown below

If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.

Dameon tools and Alcohol 120% are known causes of BSODs.

Please also run Seatools for DOS on your Mechanical hard drives. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html#Part3
If you don't have Mechanical hard drives, I'm not sure how to check your SSDs. In raid, Samsung SSDs will not show in their tool box, I don't believe. See what, if anything, it does show.

Also, please reinstall your Graphics drivers using this tutorial. Please only install the Graphics driver and PhysX. Don't install the 3D stuff, Audio or HDMI drivers and don't install GeForce experience. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/327414-nvidia-drivers-avoid-problems.html

Also, please make sure your computer is configured properly for Small Memory Dumps. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html

Try that and see if thing improve any.
