Today I got a BSOD when I plugged in my USB cable from my Motorola Atrix to my computer. I have done this several times before without any problems and I am wondering why I got a BSOD this time.

Any help would appreciated, thanks. :)

Easy, Related to ironx64.sys Iron Driver from Symantec Corporation. I would remove Symantec and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

This is off topic but can some one explain to me/link me to a site that explains how I can figure these out for myself in the future, would be very helpful and save me a lot of time.

Thanks.

Yes.

Re:doing them yourself.

It is as much art as science. There is a steep learning curve. I suggest for a begining you can download Blue Screen View (from nirsoft) and use it to start.

It often blames the OS when it cant find the true cause so I would not depend on it
