BSOD when Program Guide updates in WMC and WU
The problem PC is used only as a Media Center. It runs 24/7 unless I'm gone for several days with no recordings scheduled.
The BSOD was noticed after a short trip about 30 days ago. I attempted to restore to a point on 8-16. That failed and wiped out all my later restore points.
I've run sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt as admin and also ran in Safe mode 3-4 times. Fails to complete any repairs.
Today I attemped to install the update repair Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64. That failed with the error code attached.
I ran dm log collector.exe and added the CBS.log file to the zip file. Let me know if I have forgotten any :info:
Trying to avoid a reinstall so as not to lose Copy protected shows I have recorded. Getting desperate for ideas.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Cassel,
Something has mucked up the permissions on TrustedInstaller, usually caused by a virus or malware.
please run Malwarebytes free and ESET on-line(dissable MSE)

Are there any log files that would help after I run those?

Malwarebytes free - Threats:0
ESET on-line - No infections
I found WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab on MS site and it corrected 2 registry entries. I'll try a Program guide update and see how it goes.

WMC ran for 3 days after Program guide updated. BSOD happened again last night.
Ran sfc from original Win 7 install disk. Received the attached error. Is this a RAM problem? How would I troubleshoot?

Chkdsk didn't return any errors.
Ran memtest86 on each stick of memory. One passed 2nd returned over 20000 errors.
I'm contacting g.skill for an RMA.
Never had RAM fail in over 25 years building PCs.
I'll mark solved if all goes well.
Thanks for your help.
