Hello.
The BSOD started all of a sudden yesterday when I was starting a video file. Since then, the computer has been slower, sound does not work properly, the browser crashes unexpectedly... Sometimes the BSOD reappears out of nowhere (and it always appears if I try to start a video file again) and teh computer reboots.
I read the instructions and I'm posting the file with the information.
Can someone help me, please?

Please run the dm log collector again and upload the new zip file, there are some important files missing.

OK, I ran it again. I'm not sure if it has all the files you need this time, though. Anything I can do to make sure?

I ran it on safe mode, but it still doesn't have the files you need.
Anything else we can try?

Diagnostics Test

 System File Check

Please try following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

OK. I did it the 1st time and the message was that only the admin can do it. Which is weird, because there is only 1 account on my computer.
I'll reboot, do it again and upload the file.

I just rebooted and did it the 2nd time. Same message, that I am not the admin (but I am).
I looked for the cbs.log file you told me, but I could not find it. Inside {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\ there are only .txt and .cab files (there are other .txt files inside the .cab files).
I can see that things are pretty messed up with this computer... Do you think I'm gonna have to format it? (It wouldn't be a terrible problem if it came to that, but I wish it didn't. :P )

I followed all the three steps. In the end of all of them, it was confirmed that there is only one user in my computer (there isn't even a Guest user) and that this single user is the admin. I restarted the computer and tried typing the command at prompt and it keeps telling me that I need do be the admin to do it (even though I am). I have no idea what's wrong...

Are you able to run command prompt normal without any permission?

Make a screenshot of the error and post it, I would like to see what exactly happens.

It is in Portuguese, but it says:
You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility.

It is in Portuguese, but it says:
You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility.

1) Go to START
2) In the textbox, type "cmd"
3) When you see "cmd.exe", right click it
4) Click RUN AS AN ADMINISTRATOR with the blue/yellow shield next to it
5) If UAC (User Access Control) pops up, click YES

You should now be running as an administrator in the command line program. Then type "sfc /scannow" and it will begin.

IMAGES:

-Image 1 shows the first part of what I'm talking about.
-Image 2 shows one command line program with Admin privileges (System32) and one without (Users/Nick). Your command line should look like the one on top if you did it right.

I mentioned to run an admin command prompt, the error is for trying to run it in normal command prompt.

OK. I just ran the sfc/scannow for the 2nd time and it said there are corrupted files and that details are in the cbs.log in the CBS folder. But I do not find the file at CBS folder when I go there.
I'll restart the computer and check again.

When I restarted the computer, it ran some sort of system verification. I don't know if it has something to do with what we've been doing.
Anyway, after it finally started, I looked for the cbs.log file, but it does not exist. Should I run sfc/scannow again?
