BSOD When Using MS Word

I am tearing my hair out with a problem I have on this computer! I attach the zip file which I made following the instructions on here.

I am running Windows 7 on a 64-bit pc. It's running Windows Home Premium OEM. I've had the computer for a little over one year.

I get a BSOD when I am running MS Word. When I bought the pc I installed a pirate copy and had occasional BSODs. I erased all traces of that and purchased MS Office online from Microsoft but I am still getting BSODs when I run MS Word, usually a couple of minutes in.

I have run my antivirus/antispyware programs and they came up with nothing. I never get a BSOD when MS Word is not running, although sometimes it goes a few days without a BSOD.

I work from home as a freelance writer so MS Word is essential. I really hope you can help me! Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks in advance :) you're really saving my life here.

Regards,

Victoria

Memory exception probably caused by your malware apps.

I would remove Avira, and Avast and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I uninstalled those 2 Malware apps ages ago and only use Win Defender now. And I had the BSODS before installing either of them.

I don't get BSODs unless MS Word is running. Could you suggest anything else please?

Victoria

Says mfc100u.dll is missing when I try to click on the Avira icon and won't let me open it so I'm not sure how to remove it (I thought I already had but I guess not).

I did use your program to remove Avast but how do I remove Avira? It's not in Program Files, it's in Program Files (x86) and when I right-click on it, it says I need Admin Permission. I can't remove it using the Avast remover you sent, or the Win 7 uninstall (where it doesn't show up).

Thanks.

I just opened MS Word again and it crashed after less than a minute. I'm convinced it's some old files left over from my previous installation of MS Word since I don't get ever BSODs unless Word is open, and when it is open I get them frequently.
