I hope you'll bear with me, I'm rather new at stuff like this. :)

My computer is a Dell Inspiron N7110 Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

This has started in the last couple of months. There were more instances of it happening, but when trying to clean things up, I think I got rid of some older Dump files. It mainly does it when I put my computer into sleep mode or it goes into sleep mode on it's own, other than that it seems to working fine. I did a memory test and some other hardware diagnostics and everything checked out OK, altho when using the Dell diagnostic tool, it couldn't run some tests on the 2 video cards for some reason, I don't know if that's an issue or not.

I tried using the Intel Updater tool, it said I had an older version of the chipset, so I would download and install the newer one, then it would say it installed correctly, then immediately would turn around and say the install failed! I noticed looking online a lot of people had this issue with the Intel Updater.

The most recent thing I have installed is an Epson Workforce 3640 printer, which does kind of coincide timewise with the problem starting, but I don't know if it could be related or not.

I don't know if this is useful or redundant, this is what usually shows up on Blue Screen Viewer.

However another time this showed up on Blue Screen Viewer.

Hopefully, I got the zip file uploaded correctly. Thanks for any help! :)

Hi phgray1,

Welcome to the 7forums.

The Intel Storage driver has been flagged and needs updating.
Please check Intel for driver updates.

An ESET driver has been flagged.
Please update ESET or remove it using the uninstall instructions and use Microsoft Security Essentials as alternative if you uninstall ESET.

Hi AxeO, thanks much for the reply, I will give it a go and see what happens!

I should mention, though I have had difficulty using the Intel Driver Updater to work in that it will say a driver needs updating, I download it, it says it installed, then immediately says the install failed. It was the same with numerous attempts. That was for a different driver (chipset) but will try it for the Intel Storage Driver, maybe there's another way to do it, without using the Intel Driver Updater?

Anyway, will dink around with it and see what happens. Thanks again.

BOSDs continuing...

I'm still having the random BOSDs every few days, and always when the computer is waking up from sleeping. It's usually been the same one altho there are a couple of different ones, most recently a troubling ntfs.sys one. I've notice nearly all the BSODs do have in common ntoskrnl.exe as the cause or involved in some fashion, FWIW.

I've been trying to update Intel drivers, when I use the Intel Driver update utility, it indicates there is a newer driver for the chipset (I don't know if that would include the storage driver that was flagged) but each time I try to install it, it says it is successful, but then immediately after, that changes to installation failed. I'm not sure where else to look for the Intel storage driver from Intel and if so how to update it.

I updated ESET, if need be I might uninstall and replace it with Windows Security Essentials if that continues to be flagged. I notice when waking up from sleep mode, that often seems to trigger ESET to do definition updates etc.

At any rate, TIA for any help. I have attached the latest batch of dmp files, which also will include the ones I previously loaded.

Did you update your system specs?
I can't remember that your system specs were saying 'computer type: laptop'.

I recommend to uninstall ESET and use WSE
Code:

Please check your manufacturer for driver updates and install every update available.

For precaution, because the crash is a 0x24(NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM), please test your hard drive
