Solved BSOD when wifi stops working, driver power state failure

Hi everyone,

I've had my asus laptop for about a year, but the BSODs just started recently. What seems to trigger it is my wifi connection stops working and I get a "limited connectivity" error and it is definitely not the router that isn't working because all other computers' wifi connection runs fine. Resetting my adapter by disabling it and enabling it does not fix the problem because it gets stuck at the enabling adapter step. So the only choice I have is to reboot my laptop. When I do this, it hangs at the shutting down step for awhile like 10-15mins and I get the blue screen error with the driver power state failure.
(Also I'm pretty sure my wireless adapters are up to date).

I'm also running symantec endpoint protection

Any help would be appreciated!

Your reports are clear. The BSODs are caused by your Antivirus/Firewall.
Make a system restore point. Download Microsoft Security Essentials and use the Windows Firewall as a test. Lets see how that goes.

Alright I've done that. Usually it takes awhile for my BSODs to happen, I'll let you know what happens. Thanks so much for the help!

(Also is Microsoft Security Essentials a sufficient antivirus to use if this does fix my problem?)

Its one of the best for Windows. I use it and use Malwarebytes for a once a week Scan.
I think this will solve your BSOD problem.
