BSOD while Booting up my system, error 0x00000F4

Hello! Thanks in advance for any help you can give and sorry for my bad english.

Anyway since yesterday my system won't boot up, even in Safe Mode, but let's start from the beginning. It freezed the first time while playing a game (Battlefield 3 Beta). I was forced to push the reset button, and I received a message of corrupted BOOT MGR while trying to boot. I fixed it with BOOTREC /FIXMBR from recovery console and all was fine.

After some hours it freezed again while playing another game (Starcraft II), and on reboot there was some corrupted files. I tried again with /FIXMBR and /FIXBOOT, Windows now begin to load but after few seconds it stop with a BSOD, code 0x00000F4. I tried to run chkdsk /r from recovery console but found no error, and now I don't know what to do.

I can't access system even in safe mode so I don't know how to take the minidump file. I didn't change any piece of hardware lately, just update the GPU driver (Catalyst v 11.9).

My basic system specs:

- Windows 7: x64 PRO
- Original installed: yes
- Full retail
- Age of system: mixed things, Motherboard, CPU, HD and Power supply have 3 years, GPU, RAM and Audio device (Asus Xonar DX) have 1 year.
- Age of OS: 1 year.

Hello, just a small update. I managed to get another HD and install a fresh version of Windows on it. Now the system starts, but I'd really like to recover my old installation. Is there a way to get and check my old BSOD dump so I can find what went wrong? If I go to my old HD under Windows/Minidump folder I see it empty...

Catalyst 11.9 likely the culprit

I just ran into the same issue...3 times in a row. Then I was able to get back into Windows, uninstall Catalyst CC & 11.9, and reverted back to 11.7 and everything is fine now. I think it's the Catalyst 11.9. I received the BSOD after a completely fresh install, added device drivers (sans CCC), updated ALL MS Updates, and then finally installed CCC...and that is when it bombed.
