BSOD while in the middle of programs, scanning

Hey guys,

I am at a friends house checking his PC and during scanning with AVAST got shut down, upon reboot I was given the "windows has recovered from..." and another dmp file created.

While running the dm collector I notice his first dmp was on 09/16 and the latest was 09/23 (today). While checking it out he did download an antivirus program called MyAntivirus which I think is causing his issues. I did uninstall it and removed from start up but am thin king something is still there inside and causing the BSOD.

There are some other issues but not sure if goes with bsod, when trying to click on folders, apps, etc I have to click several time before it is accepted.

I am going to try and see if I can rescan again with AVAST, I tried malwarebytes but he had another one already installed go past the trial so cant use it.

Hello bullfihgts mate the zip will not open with anything an it is only 22kb now I don't know if you used these for posting the dumps

If you want to scan for the malware stuff use these too
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

Worth a look in the reg entries (Software) for that AV you uninstalled too
