Solved BSOD while playing LoL, affected avast!, BSOD when reinstalling Win7

Hello guys.
Problem started quite recently, I bought a new computer a month ago, and everything was cool until it started giving me MANY BSODs affter one intitial BSOD while playing League Of Legends. After a first crash, Windows asked during boot if i want to run a recovery utility, and each time I said yes it would BSOD at the end of the scan. It would continuously crash until I ignored the recovery options and asked to start as normal. This would give me a little bootloop consisting of two or three BSODs and then boot properly.
This whole thing happened a few times, around five I would say, and today avast! popped up saying it wouldn't run in background or something. I tried resolving the issue but i would go back to a red error state instantly. After uninstalling avast!, rebooting and trying to reinstall I had a nasty series of crashes in the middles of the installation, and a huge bootloop with a blue screen each time.
I decided to send this all to hell and restore my computer to a restoration point which resulted in a long tedious procedure and an error message at the end. At this point, being pretty pissed ans wanting blood I decided to reinstall Windows 7. Silly me. I used the same CD exactly which worked when I just bought the PC and this time when I asked to boot from the CD i got a black screen for five minutes followed by a blue fatal error. Tried many times, each failed. Right now i'm checking the hard drive with HD Tune and will run an overnight scan of RAM with memtest 86+, but i have a strong suspicion it's gonna give me another BSOD as soon as I try to boot from USB.

I am absolutely lost here. If even reinstalling windows doesn't work, what do I have to do?
I did not touch the BIOS in any way and first time I installed Windows with 0 problems...

Help me please I am adding the dumps in attachement zip, and can provide logs from WhoCrashed if needed. Says something about ntfs.sys, aswndisflt.sys (which is an avast! file), and ntoskrnl.exe...

Tenyoriu, I'll try to help with your problems. You have 3 dump files and from all of the errors I see, you seem to have some problems.

I am just going to show you a few of them. I could probably fill up the page with code, which I doubt means much to you. But, then I am going to give you a list of several things to do. I only ask that you read the instructions carefully and follow them. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of what the main issue is.

I know you said you uninstalled Avast, but it and the next one appear in every dump file.

That is CFoss, which you apparently have installed to speed up your internet. Please uninstall it.

That is your Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC which is quite old and should be updated from your motherboard's web site.

I am concerned about the Avast quit working and then wouldn't install. That is one sign of a virus. So, whatever anti virus you have now, please do a complete scan.

Also download malwarebytes (Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware & Internet Security Software) please download the free vbersion, and uncheck the start real time protection and use it as an on demand AV scan. Run a full scan of all hard drives with it.

Please also open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also when you run Memtest please run it this way., and run at least 8 complete passes, all in the same session.

Please download from this site only http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

If you are overclocking, please set everything back to defaults. I would also like to know your CPU and GPU temps, at idle and when being used heavily, such as during a gaming session. If you need to know about software to do that, just ask.

If you have Dameon tools or Alcohol 120 installed, please uninstall them. This will help. They are known BSOD causers.​

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause of BSOD's.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
- Double click the executable to open it
- Click the button shown below



If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.

Then get a whole new set of ram. Only run ram sold in sets from a major manufacturer(lifetime warranty). They are tested to be able to run well together, where individual sticks are not. Then I suspect many of your problems will be much better. But to be certain, I would do the other tests as well.

I sent an email to the manufacturer of the pc and he answered telling me to find the faulty RAM stick using memtest86+, and send it to him and he'll send me a new one. Running passes right now, will try other solutions as soon as I find the damaged stick and take it out.

We've already discussed sticks of ram and sets of ram. Tell the guy that you want a brand new set of ram, and not some used stick he has sitting around. If he would like to discuss it with me or several other hardware experts we have here, he can feel free to, but he won't win.

The PC I bought is a build from Sedatech, I mean they will send the exact same ram stick, the same model and brand. Do I have to insist on a new set even in these circumstances? Because the tech support dude told me explicitely to keep the working one.

Also I am strarting to apply your solutions, and noticed you said the avast driver pops up in every log. As I unistalled it, do you know any way to get rid of the last bits which may be left over and appear in those logs?

Btw could you recommend any good, preferably free, antivirus to replace avast? I used it my whole life and don't know which antivirus should I use now.

I did the first steps which are the drivers, the unistalls, and a malwarebytes scan. Gonna carry on tomorrow (tomorrow I have half a day off) with the more complicated eset and kaspersky scans and the rest of your fixes.

Taking out the incriminated stick actually stopped the computer from BDOSing at startup!

Feels good to not wonder when the next BSOD is going to happen, doesn't it? Why don't you keep Avast in for a while? If we get another BSOD wit Avast, we'll remove it then. OK? I say that because you like it so much. I tried it once and didn't. I also think the bad ram may have been the problem and may have blamed it on Avast. If you get another BSOD because of Avast, replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows. It is the only Anti Virus software that has never caused a BSOD. The best AV is you. Don't use Utorrents, be careful of what you download and from where. Always watch for the add ons they include with it. Do not let them install with it. Only download from the manufacturer's site, and be careful of add on's from there too. The best AV is you and be smart about what you do. There is no one AV that will protect you if you don't. And there is no AV that will catch everything. Use Malwarebytes as an on demand (scan when you want to) scanner. Superantispyware SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! is very good too as an on demand scanner. especially for unwanted programs and tracking cookies. I use the paid version of ESET and those two, but never try to use but one real time AV. Don't use the 'speed up your computer' programs or registry cleaners. They will mess up your computer rather than speeding it up. Windows 7 is very capable of policing itself and dealing with the registry. Other programs just mess that up. Be smart about what and where you download from, and what types of sites you visit. That will help you more than any anti virus you can get.
