Hi,
i dont exactly know since when this started, but it has been at least half a year since i am getting this BSODs whiley playing Dota2. I dont have any other games and the BS only happens while playing this game.
I tried to tackle this by myself but it didnt work (disabling some drivers that might be the issue, like the driver for my WebCam). Now i did a fresh install of Windows 7 and it still occurs. It occured this time while the Game was running in the backgrund (minimized), i was watching a Video in the Browser (Chrome) at that point.
2 things which might help:
1. When using Linux (Ubuntu) and installing (and using) the Nvidia Drivers, since the whole desktop is then rendered on the nvidia Card (in Windows the Desktop is rendered by the integrated intel card), the System crashes every few minutes. Its not usable at all. The Screen just freezes.
2. I was having heat issues with my laptop, so i was trying very much out, resulting in many times in which i opened the laptop. Of course, this might have damaged some components. But since i can often play for ours, and sometimes it crashes several times during one game, i was assuming it might be something else.
Sorry for the long post, just trying to give as much information as possible.
Edit: i am using the newest Nvidia/intel Drivers. Im my previous Windows 7 Installation i tried different Versions, it didnt help. I am not overclocking anything (although i was trying some overclocking some time ago).
Thanks in advance.
