I have been having random BSOD every few days. I tried to install the SF diagnostic tool, but I keep receiving errors and the last time I got a BSOD and rebooted and it ran and BSOD at the end of it. I looked inside of the SF folder that it created and it is empty. Now when I run it it gives me errors:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. Zip them and upload those.

Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

  1. Click on the start button
  2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
  3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
  4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
  5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Well, Have a look at these, one by one.

COMODO Firewall Pro Sandbox Driver is failing here, and causing the BSOD.
Code:
fffff880`0a185228 fffff880`050edbabUnable to load image [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=cmdguard.sys"]cmdguard.sys,[/URL] Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=cmdguard.sys"]cmdguard.sys[/URL]
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=cmdguard.sys"]cmdguard.sys[/URL]
 cmdguard+0x1abab
Description here: Driver Reference Table - cmdguard.sys

Uninstall Comodo. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Also, it is saying that the Synaptic Touch Pad Driver is also failing, and here is the proof.
Code:
fffff880`091d9698 fffff880`04d8c73bUnable to load image [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=SynTP.sys"]SynTP.sys[/URL], Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=SynTP.sys"]SynTP.sys[/URL]
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for [URL="http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=SynTP.sys"]SynTP.sys[/URL]
 SynTP+0x1e73b
It is a rare event. The Touchpad driver usually dont fail. But here as the antivirus failed to work, there is a fair possibility that the touchpad driver got infected. So scan the system for possible virus infection.

When done, update the touchpad driver from Drivers | Synaptics

The display driver is also failing here.
Code:
fffff880`091d94b8 fffff880`04d1e38aUnable to load image atikmpag.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmpag.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for atikmpag.sys

And it is somehow old.

Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-...alyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html#post17671, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.
ATI_zps0bc28aaa.jpg

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

A lot of unnecessary startup entries are there. Free up the startup.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
And finally, there is some evidence of Memory Corruption. And a corrupted RAM may cause any sort of problem, including all those in the current analysis.

Sorry to say, but in such a situation (experienced the same earlier too, many a times) the only workable solution is to abandon Acronis, despite of its greatness and wide usefulness. It is causing some storage access block, and generates a lot of ntfs.sys errors. See some examples:

RAM may go corrupt at a time, once it worked fine that does not necessarily mean that it will work as it is forever. It is simply normal.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

First run it with all the existing/installed RAM modules. If it comes with no error, all is good.

But if it starts showing errors, Stop testing. Errors/red lines means one or more RAM is faulty. But the fault may occur due to a faulty DIMM slot, too, which is a motherboard component. Using memtest86+, you can discriminate between a faulty RAM and a faulty motherboard.

How? Say you have two RAM sticks and two DIMM slots. You obtained errors at the test with all RAM sticks installed. Now, remove all the sticks but one. Test it in all the available slots, one by one. Continue the same procedure for all the available sticks.
How to make the inference that is it a RAM issue or it is a motherboard issue? Suppose you have got the result like that:
test|Slot1|Slot2
RAM1| Error | Error
RAM2|Good|Good
It is a RAM, a bad RAM.

But if you have got a result like that:
test|Slot1|Slot2
RAM1| Error |Good
RAM2| Error |Good
It is a motherboard issue. The particular slot is bad.

Hi, thanks again for all of the help. At this point my laptop is under warranty and obviously has some type of hardware issue. Do you think that I should send it back and have it fixed? Or is there a possibility that it is not hardware related?

Its a mixed issue I guess.

First you take the suggestions other than memtest and see what happens there. If it is not fixed, use the warranty :)

I just reinstalled a fresh version of windows 7 with nothing else and I have been running memtest for 4 hours with no errors. Previous to this 7 install, errors came up right away.

I will start adding the suggested drivers and antivirus with firewall and see if I get any bsods.

Another crash

Damn! BSOD again!

I had another crash with very minimal drivers and apps and a clean version of Windows 7. I attached the crash output, but there was no minidump (I am not sure why)? Do you see anything here?

Thanks again in advance...

Also there might be a fair chance of physical memory corruption.

Here's the problem. Its a samsung laptop, whereas your system specs says it is a PC/Desktop.

Go to Samsung's website, and search for AMD Radeon HD 7520G drivers for 55V4C/356V4C/3445VC/3545VC model.
