Hi! I have just recently upgraded to a ssd. I installed windows and downloaded some programs. While using chrome i sometimes got BSODs and the same thing some times when playing league of legends. But I do not get the crashes all of the times, and when I get one the likelyhood of getting another one after restart is much higher. Ran memtest two passes and no error, know it's not the ssd since I had the same problem with my earlier harddrive. I had hoped that the problem would have disappeared with the new hdd and clean install of OS (suspected hdd or driver issue) but it obviously hasn't. How do I continue from here?

Hello,

Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (8 procs) Free x64
[COLOR="Red"][B]Missing Windows 7 Service Pack 1[/B][/COLOR]

When you said you installed windows and downloaded some programs my first thought was that you didn't update windows completely. Please update windows to SP1 and all the updates afterwards. This can actually be a main cause of the BSODs. You can update through Windows Update, or download here: Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Code:
BugCheck [COLOR="red"]1A[/COLOR], {41790, fffffa8000a4a180, ffff, 0}
BugCheck [COLOR="red"]50[/COLOR], {fffffaa807e02980, 0, fffff80002a87d97, 5}
These 2 are the main Bugchecks that I am seeing in the crash files, and are both usually caused by possibly bad RAM, lets test the ram to be safe: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Code:
 BIOS Release Date             12/22/[COLOR="red"]2010[/COLOR]
BIOS is a bit outdated, update that just to also be safe.

Code:
ctac32k.sys                 Wed Jul  2 03:38:22 [COLOR="red"]2008[/COLOR] (486B3E7E)
yk62x64.sys                 Mon Feb 23 09:02:27 [COLOR="red"]2009[/COLOR] (49A2BA83)
nvlddmkm.sys                Thu May 14 15:48:07 [COLOR="red"]2009[/COLOR] (4A0C8387)
All of these drivers are out of date. They SHOULD get updated when you update your PC and the Windows Updates. If they do not, here are the update links:
ctac32k.sys Creative Audio Driver Creative Worldwide Support
yk62x64.sys Marvell Yukon networking Marvell - Support
nvlddmkm.sys nVidia Video drivers Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

After this is all complete, post back updates.
-Justin

Hi Justin and thank you for answering this fast.
I have now done everything that you suggested, ran two passes of memtest with no errors.
The crashes still happens though :( When playing LOL what happens is that the screen turns black (no video info is being received at monitors but the music is still on in a loop, this seems to be frozen like this indefinitely. And when surfing with chrome there are BSODS. Attached logs.

2 passes are insufficient to test RAM - rerun MemTest86+ for a minimum of 8 consecutive passes.

There aren't any .dmp files, so this doesn't look like a classic BSOD, but I suspect its video-related. Try this:

1. Check that the card is correctly seated in the motherboard
2. Check all power and data cable connections between the card and motherboard
3. Check to see that the card fan is free of dust, and that it turns
4. Check the connector between the video card and monitor

Hi Golden,
Now I have run memtest for 10 passes without any errors, also checked everything else you said and it all seems to be alright. There is not much space between the video and sound cards but the fan still turns and is free of dust. Also it doesn't feel like an overheating problem due to the fact that the crashes come randomly, can go some days when I run heavy programs or play for hours and no crashes occur just to being greeted by them instantly the next day. Like today I tried LOL and it crashed 3-4 times in less than an hour. I attach the new logs.

There aren't any .dmp files to analyse in the new file. Check C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any .dmp files are present.

Did you see if a BIOS update was available for your system?

The problem is that it simply freezes while playing the game and the system gets unresponsive. Nothing happens and im forced to reboot it manually. So there arent any bsods when it freezes and therefore no dmp?

And there are no bios updates available. At least not any official ones.

Hello Radanle.

Your problem sounds alot like one i had a few weeks back ( As lots of People say :p)
Do you have the LoL Client up in the back ground while you surf the greate interweb on chrome when you get the BSDO?

If it happens when the Client is up aswell i might have a temp fix for it. Until these other PC wizards comes up with a real fix for Your problem.

I have to go in to the LoL folder and start the lol.launcher, not the lol.launcher.admin or the shortcut on the Dashboard. I have no idea why it worked for me, but it does so i aint complaining.

I do not intend to interfere with your work in this thread, Golden or Honorgamer.

Hi Justin,
I have done the steps you suggested and attached the txt file. I myself think it's a bit strange that one of the gpu cores are that much warmer than the other. Can that be related?

Hello MPN,
Hmm I do not think that they only happens when having the lol client on, but if thats the case i will try that. But do that also correct the problem with freezes while playing lol? :)

*EDIT*
I have now played some with speccy on in the background and there does not seem to be any problem with overheating, cpu seldom over 60, gpus not over 70, motherboard around 50-55, disks at 40. And that includes when the freezes happens.
