BSOD while using Google chorme, halmacpi.dll+ef3f error

Dear all,

My computer keeps on BSOD while surfing the web using google chorme/torch and sometimes on idle, after did some research i've re installed my graphic cards driver, but it still keeps on BSOD on a frequent times, attach dump on it.

please advice thank you very much.

hi, i've already installed sp 1, and the bsod is keep on occurring
as attach is the dump file, please assist

Well, stop 0x124 is mainly a hardware related issue. But which exact hardware component is causing the issue is never very clear in the crash dumps. So it will/may require hardware tests and probable replacements. Will be able to continue with it? If you are confident, let us know, we will proceed with the hardware tests. But if you think that you may not be able to do the hardware things yourself (yes, it is hard for laptops), better you take it to a technician for hardware testing.

In the mean time, let us know two things.

1. If you dont use the Torch Browser, does it still BSOD? Uninstall Torch, use Firefox or IE and let us know.

2. Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

thanks for your feedback. for your info,
1. the bsod happen on random times, for example when the computer was on idle mode it will goes bsod as well.
2. please find the attcach speccy file, the computer temp was on 60c, i've think the temp was too high as i have never test my temp before.

60 degrees is the temp that is at the danger level. It may tent to increase anyhow which is enough to cause a BSOD.

To control the heat, there are two ways. First, the most effective way .... to open the laptop, apply new thermal paste to the heatsneak, clean the fan grills and air vents.

Second, get a cooler pad.

If you dont have a high level of expertise on laptop hardware, the first way may leave a complete broken laptop. So dont try it yourself, get it done.
