I assume the update you're referring to is the one on October 31. It shows as installed successfully. The VMWare problem occurred a few minutes later.

Can you do a system restore to before you installed that update?

Hello,

I've done a system restore and this is the latest BSoD im getting. I had 2 BSOD's of the same error i was getting which is ntoskrnl.exe and more causes as well. but i really just want to know what is causing the ntoskrnl.exe bsod to occur. it usually happens when playing games like PUBG or CS:GO or Dota 2.

Thanks

Please upload new logs, screenshots or reports of Bluescreenview and WhoCrashed are useless to me a.t.m. because I need to see the reason why the CPU stopped the system which requires analysis they can't do.

Ntoskrnl.exe is an extremely important file for Windows. If there were any issues with it you would not be able to boot at all.
Ntoskrnl.exe contains functions for when Windows crashes and is the last thing Windows will do. Because it is the last thing Windows does it often is shown as the probable cause, it merely means that a quick analysis of the dump wasn't showing any other file.

In addition, I would now reinstall the latest Windows updates before posting the newest logs. Seems like the DXapi.sys file is a common issue both before and after the system restore.
