BSOD With Intel 320 120gb SSD [ I've tried everything! Pics Included ]

Personally, I think that is a good choice of brand and size. I have 4 of them, 1 128GB and 3 256GB. So, far, They have been excellent performers and have had no problems at all. Personally, I avoid sandforce controllers on SSDs as they seem to have the most problems. Samsungs make their own controller and nand, and have an excellent reputation.

I've now tried another harddrive that's not an SSD. The computer works good. Maybe i should buy a new SSD?

I've been looking on Samsung 840 120GB SSD it seems good and stable.
When in doubt....try some mumbo jumbo

Hehe :)
Well I'm going to use the Intel SSD as an external drive! I bought the Samsung 840 120GB SSD instead and I'm going to install it later today!

I'd rather have an SSD that I don't have to fix everytime i reinstall windows on it!

Thanks for all the replies though! You guys are the best!

controllers are designed specifically to suit SSD makers. All leading companies got benifited by using SF controllers and they are ruling the industry. It’s good to hear that Samsung uses their own controllers but it’s it not true that they don’t have issues and we cannot just say they are the best. I have nothing to lose or gain out of this discussion, but extremely glad that I have made a very smart decision in choosing Intel 520 SSD.

Controllers are made to make the SSD perform efficiently and work properly. If they didn't do that it would not suit the consumer and especially the manufacturers. There are quite a few companies who use the third party Sandforce controllers for their SSDs. With different manufacturing processes, one size does not fit all. I own 3 SSds with Sandforce controllers and have had to RMA all of them and two of them twice. Sandforce works very well on compressible data, but not so well on incompressible data. They derive their speed from compressing the data it writes. I'm very happy you like your Intel and wish you the best of luck with it. If you join the Intel Forums there is a lot of good information there and some very knowledgeable people. The 520 has a good reputation and I'm sure it will work quite well for you.
