BSOD with no Dump Files being generated, happens in Firefox, and BF3

Hello guys,
I am dealing with several random BSODs for some months (I believe since april or even earlier). I am attaching in this thread all the requested items I found in the "BSOD Posting Instructions" and some pictures I took from the BSODs, grouped together.

I am sorry but I will have to write a lot, so I can provide you guys all the details I have...english is not my primary language, so I apologize before I start (and if I already had made any mistakes in this brief text, I apologize too ).

These BSODs dont let Windows finish to create a dump file...as you can see in the pictures, it always hangs in the "Initializing disk for crash dump..." and then reboots. Only one time it finished, and it was something related to Ready Boost (which was never used or allowed to be used in the system, so I am considering this as not related to the problem...I already looked for BSODs related to Ready Boost, and it came in no help). So, since the Windows dont make a dump file, I am afraid the dump files collected from your "tool" are not related to this problem. I also believe that the Bluethoot devices listed as problematic in the diagnostic tools are not related to the problem also, since I almost never use any bluethoot device with my PC.
After the system reboots from the BSODs it looks like the BIOS is weird, it usually says that "no operational system was detected", so I have to turn off the PC and then wait some time and turn it on again, and usually this makes the BIOS "see" the Windows again (sometimes I have to unplug the power cable and wait until all the LEDs are off). Just a couple of times the messages were different, like "The CPU could not be overclocked" opening another BIOS screen from American Megatrends.

These BSODs usually started just after I opened Firefox...my Firefox is with a little problem at the first start up...it starts to consume 25% of my CPU and hangs...I have to kill the firefox process and then open it back again to use it (the second time it loads fine)...if I didnt I would have gotten an BSOD in just a few seconds. This happened in a few other programs too, but randomly, first the process hangs, then the entire system and then the BSOD cames. Almost all the BSODs had no usefull data on them as you can see in the pictures.
But since Firefox is a memory hog and some times I got KERNEL_IN_PAGE_ERROR and KERNEL_IN_MEMORY_ERROR (I dont have that picture I think), I started to believe that the problem may be in the RAM timings, or some other RAM related problem....So I went to my BIOS settings and I saw that the XMP profile was not loaded, so I loaded it and my PC became muuuuuuch more stable! but still with some occasional BSODs :/

Now with these new Ram timings I let firefox consume 25% of my CPU, at the first start of firefox, for minutes, and the system doesn't crash anymore. Also the only 2 times Firefox had set an BSOD it came with a message from Windows before, saying that "Instruction 0x123456 (i dont know the number ) could not be read" and then it crashed explorer.exe and then the computer crashed. As I said, it's more stable, but still not "stable".

Sometimes the PC crashes when I am playing Battlefield 3.

I have all the drivers updated, and I am 100% free of malware too...so I am quite lost in here guys! I need your professional help...I am a Computer Engineering student, so I am used with computers and hard tasks, but this one is driving me nuts!

I really don't want to re-install my Windows, I changed some folders places to save space (temp folders, documents, pictures, movies and desktop point to my 1TB hard drive, while the 60GB SSD handles Windows) and configuring it all again + back-up + re-install all my programs is going to be a huuuuuuuge problem...

I appreciate all the help you guys can give me, and I thank it in advance!

Answering the "BSOD Posting Instructions":
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (and also the original OS installed on the system), retail version,
the hardware was upgraded, so the new parts are 1 year old and the "old" parts 2 years old.
The OS was neve re-intalled, and its about 1 year old.

All my hardware configuration is updated in my Forum profile

EDIT: I forgot to add...the BSODs happens a lot when I have VMWare running too!

I got my windows copy from a friend how bought several windows licenses (and other microsoft softwares) in the Microsoft Technet! I am pretty sure it is genuine, since I saw when he generated the key in the Technet Website.
I always downloaded the Windows updates...so how can it be not genuine?
If someone stole my key, how may I get a proof that I own this key?

Anyways, how could this generate a BSOD?

Non-Genuine Windows contains security leaks and also cannot be properly updated which may result in instabilities and blue screen crashes.

Glad to see everything is fine. I just found out yesterday about that line of possible sold licenses that were not legitimate, so I wanted to make sure you were not a victim. Sorry for the runaround, but I really was trying to look out for your best interests.


Also, the crash you received back in May pointed to a faulty Windows installation. The above rules out a non-genuine copy as the problem there. We should do some SSD troubleshooting as your problems are familiar to me due to that hardware.

SSD Troubleshooting:

• Make sure the following are up to date:
  • SSD firmware
  • BIOS Version
  • Chipset Drivers
  • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.
  
  
• Try doing a power cycle of the SSD. The following steps should be carried out and take ~1 hour to complete.
  1. Power off the system.
  2. Remove all power supplies (ac adapter then battery for laptop, ac adapter for desktop)
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and drain all components of power.
  4. Reconnect all power supplies (battery then ac adapter for laptop, ac adapter for desktop)
  5. Turn on the system and enter the BIOS (see your manual for the steps to enter the BIOS)
  6. Let the computer remain in the BIOS for 20 minutes.
  7. Follow steps 1-3 and physically remove the SSD from the system by disconnecting the cables for a desktop or disconnecting the drive from the junction for a laptop.
  8. Leave the drive disconnected for 30 seconds to let all power drain from it.
  9. Replace the drive connection(s) and then do steps 4-8 again.
  10. Repeat steps 1-4.
  11. Start your computer normally and run Windows.

  While that may not be your drive, a power cycle should be the same on all SSD drives. See how the system responds after the SSD power cycle.

Thanks for your concerning, it really scared me to have a not genuine Windows, if I had to buy it again, so to make things work, it was going to be revolting.
I will do the Power Cycle as soon as I can, I was suspecting the SSD too, since the Windows is intalled on it, and the disappearance of the OS after the crash, pointed to a problem in the SSD. I already checked and the Firmware is out of date, but I will have to do a full clone backup of the drive before updating it, so it may take me some time to do it, but I expect to do it still today....if it is the SSD, so it sucks...it wasnt cheap, and I looked for one of the best in the market...emerging technology has its risk I guess...

I was just writing that I found out that my OCZ Vertex 3 SSD's Firmware was out of date, still in version 2.06 (the new one is 2.22), and I had a BSOD! lol

For the record: I updated it through the Linux bootable image that OCZ has on it's website, it makes things easier when you have a primary drive that needs the update.

The thing is, I had the BSOD after I already had it upgrated, running on 2.22 already, and restarted Windows (since on the first time after the upgrade Windows asked me to restart).

Fortunately this time Windows generated a crash report! Which I am posting in here, so you can point me in the right direction...Thanks!

PS: I runned the BSOD Dump & System File Collection App on the same folder as before, and the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 old folder was still there, but I believe that everything was modified and no "old" data was left right? In case I am wrong, please tell me so I can erase the old folder and make a new clean run on the app.

Software Concerns:

Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\AI Suite II
Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\PC Diagnostics

Recommend removing your ASUS utilities through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program. They can provide software interfaces with the hardware for overclocking, and even when the overclock is not enabled, that interface can cause instability. They are also not needed for the system to function properly and may reduce system resources.​

Analysis:

Crashes still point to the SSD as the likely cause. Proceed with the steps laid out in the link given at the start of my post.

Further SSD Troubleshooting:

The crashes you are receiving are common with SSDs when there are incompatible drivers, hardware, BIOS, or firmware issues. Proceed with SSD troubleshooting:

• Make sure the following are up to date:

Writhziden, thanks for your reply!

Those Serial over Bluetooth drivers are some COM ports that I had to install in order to make a "homework" I had from the university (make a PIC MCU to "talk" with the PC over a bluetooth link). Since I am not using them anymore, I disabled them. The magic tune is a Samsung software for configuring the monitor, I had to install several versions, until it worked in my 64 bits Windows....so one of the copies should have left a "ghost" somewhere...

I am pretty sure you are 100% right and this is a SSD problem, if the SSD crashes, so obviously Windows will not generate a Report, since it cant write it anywhere! I will test the system longer, maybe it was just a "last" BSOD

If anything happens I will continue to follow the links you have sent, and I will let you know!
