I'm getting a BSOD lately with no minidump file.
I have already set on small memory dump and to save on C:\Windows\Minidump (u can see that on attached image), but it still not creating the file...
I also searched my entire C:/ for *.dmp but i found nothing.
So i used the DM log collector and i'm sending u the zip file.
I also have sometimes display driver errors that makes my screen go black for about a minute.
Maybe that's the problem but i'm not sure.
You can see my full system specs on my profile.
Any help apreciated.

Hello, Invisible79 and welcome to the Forums. I will try to help you with this. The files you uploaded have no dump files as you have said. Please look in C:/Windows and see if you see a folder named Minidump. That is where they should be. If that file does not exist, please create one named Minidump.

I have noticed several errors, I think mostly related to Assasins Creed game. Have you been playing that game and having trouble with it?

Do you have a pagefile on the drive ? A pagefile is needed on the [C] drive for dumps, I think a minidump needs a minimum 200 MB pagefile size.

Hello, and thank you both for your reply :)

I checked for C:/Windows/Minidump folder, its already there but its just empty.
No files or hidden files either.
I did check folder properties also and i see that it's read only.
Maybe that's the reason the file is not creating after bsod.
So i unchecked the read only box, click apply and then when i recheck properties i see that it is read only again...

About assassins creed, yes i do play a lot, i'm kinda addicted on that game :D
I did got like 30 sec black screen a few times when i alt-tab from game but nothing more except that.

About page file... yes from some reason it was set at 19 GB... i dont know why.
I fixed that and now its min 250 MB max 500 MB.

Thing is that the bsod im getting its coming on random times.

So i guess i just wait for next bsod to see if any .dmp comes up...

Okay DavidE give me a hand.
I'm looking at the msinfo32.nfo file and see the pagefile but I don't know how to tell where it is located. How do you know it's on (C) by looking at msinfo32.nfo file.

Some how, some way Steve would like to see those mini dumps.

Okay I have grabbed my socks for those that want to spank me for being so dumb.

May I suggest that no cleanup programs to be run because many of them will remove mini dumps.

I will go away and watch.

Invisible79, see if any of this helps out.

Follow these steps:

1. Configure Windows to create minidumps:
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

2. Set the paging file on C: to be the same size as the physically installed RAM:
Virtual Memory Paging File - Change

3. Set the Windows Error Reporting service to MANUAL:
Services - Start or Disable

Hello, and thank you again :)

So i fixed minidump setting it was set for C:\Windows\Minidump now it's %SystemRoot%\Minidump (small memory dump).
I set the page file same size with ram 32768 MB.
Error reporting was already at manual when i checked.
After that i did the explorer dump file and checked for that and yes it did created (193 MB file).
So now i guesss i wait for the next time i get bsod to see if i get the minidump file.
