Hello all...

I have been browsing the Net this afternoon as normal with Google Chrome/Firefox and Opera all open, then as soon as I inserted the lead that goes from my Nikon camera to the USB port I received a BSOD. Can somebody please look on this. I would like to add that I have been inserting my camera into the PC for a good while now with no issue, apart from now that is.

The above BSOD was not resolved. Since the date of that particular BSOD I have not seen it since.

I am requiring assistance of another BSOD, this time with the following that has been attached. Late last night, early hours in the morning I took out my dvi cable, going from my pc to the monitor for a few minutes then when I plugged it back in again I received a BSOD...

I would appreciate it, if anybody could look into this.

Carl.

0xF4 and 0x7A are of the same line, some issue is there with the storage devices.

From your crash dumps ....
Code:
ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc000000e - A device which does not exist was specified.
[COLOR=Red]
DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware[/COLOR]
Code:
WARNING: !chkimg output was truncated to 50 lines. Invoke !chkimg without '-lo [num_lines]' to view entire output.
[COLOR=Red]3745 errors : !Ntfs[/COLOR] (fffff8800132b000-fffff8800132bfff)
You have two storage devices ....

  • Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST3000DM001 3TB
Make it sure that the SSD is having the latest firmware.

Test the HDD (not the SSD) with Seatools, both the short and long generic.

Let us know the results. If the issue persists, we have to take some further steps.

McAfee is nicely present there in your system, but not in program groups, where it is ESET there.
Start Menu\Programs\ESET\ESET Smart Security
That means theoretically two antivirus programs are running there.

What have you done with McAfee? Have you wanted to uninstall it but deleted it actually? It seems like that.
If so, all sort of issues are possible there.

Hello Arc...

First of all McAfee Site-Advisor is now uninstalled.

My SSD has received it's firmware update with no issues.

And the Seagate Barracuda HDD has past, both the short and long generic test. :)
