Hello. I've been getting BSODs rather unpredictably while playing Saints Row 3 and with 4 as well. I had one or two and then lowered my graphics setting down from ultra to high on both games and that seemed to make them stop and I didn't get any further for many hours of gameplay and I do play in usually long sessions. Though recently I've had more at random times and I'm not sure what the cause is or what I can do to prevent the random BSODing. It's irritating when playing with somebody then a random BSOD on my desktop causes the session to end for both of us. >.>
I was told to post here that I might get a clear answer to what the problem is.

*Edit* BSOD playing another game, Left 4 dead 2. >.>

Welcome to the forum Yuka,

Perform a Clean boot:
Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:

Code:
2: kd> !analyze -v
*******************************************************************************
*                                                                             *

Please check for the latest version available., or uninstall it.

Sometimes drivers remain, not completely uninstalled. Follow this tutorial for complete removal of drivers of the particular program: How to Clean Left Over Driver Files with Driver Sweeper
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
  • Click on the :orb:
  • Type CMD on Search
  • Left click and Run as Administrator
  • Type SFC /scannow

Code:
dtsoftbus01.sys Thu Jun 20 13:22:51 2013 (51C2ADCB)
Please uninstall Daemon Tools. It uses a driver called sptd.sys which is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7.

Uninstall the software using Add/Remove Programs. Reboot the system. Once the program is uninstalled, run sptd.sys uninstaller to remove the driver from your system.

As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

Keep us posted.

Thank you! After uninstalling motionjoy and uninstalling the drivers installed by it. I've had no further bsods appearing at all. I've played for hours using nothing but the keyboard and everything seems fine. I'm now using an alternative to motionjoy and then proceeded to test with controller further for quite a few more hours to see if any more bsod would show and still had no further problems. I believe my bsod issues have been fixed. Thank you for your help, KoolKat!
