Hi i have been experiencing BSODs on my computer. They seem to happen somewhat randomly but twitch.tv almost always causes bsod. My computer is a custom build by my friend. Is it possible that there is bad connection somewhere which is causing these BSODs? How do i find it?

Im not expert with computers please help.

Hello and welcome Naktos well you have sort of half answered yourself mate the twitch.tv I have no idea without go look for it as to what it s but seems to me it is a suspect in your situation.

I am not real sure of the dump files either it will take someone who knows more than I to check those out.

I suppose you could start off running these in safe mode if necessary if only to eliminate the bleeding obvious;)

Thanks for replying and helping :party:

Sfc found some corrupted files and there was some random rubbish that malware cleaners found. I also loaned that electrostatic ring thingy from my friend and checked all connections on my rig. Everything seemed normal.

I found some hotfixes on to BSODs that have occurred. Problem is that for some reason my computer keeps displaying message that ''hotfix is not applicable for this computer''. How can i fix that and install those hotfixes. They are both for windows 7 and I'm running windows 7 ultimate so they should work (?).

I haven't tested stressing out my computer so i'm not sure if BSODs are gone.

Said hotfixes:
"0x0000003B" Stop error when you run certain applications in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
Operating system intermittently crashes with a "0x0000007E" Stop error message on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Natkos I am not absolutely sure mate but there are a lot of references on a Google to update issues and I found this Microsoft Windows 7 KB2647753 Update/Install Error fix - YouTube and quite a few others which unfortunately involve this problem on Windows 8.
so it may be an idea to to try and find which update is throwing this message.

Hi again.

I found the problem :party::party::party:

See my bios has this option to overclock your processor and it was checked on and apparently newer processors become highly unstable if overclocked even slightly.

I have ran driver verifier for 12 hours now at backround and there has not been single BSOD. Also all previous ''surefire'' ways to get BSOD on my computer work normally now.

I will post again in 24 hours to make sure my problem is solved. And if not i will provide further info etc.

Thanks a lot guys! :party:
