Can you post a screenshot of devices under each category? Especially the network category? It may be that the drivers install for more than one device.

I do not see anything obvious that would correspond to your nForce WHQL drivers for the chipset versions. The nForce drivers for the network and PCI management are probably the targets, but I cannot say for certain as I am not familiar with the nForce boards.

Here is what I suggest: Create a system restore point and then install the WHQL drivers. That way, if it causes more problems, you can revert to the restore point to return to your current state.

this is a complete mess, even in safe mode windows kept on installing their own drivers, I had to reboot like a thousand times, and at the end the driver would not install, a pop up said could not find driver configuration or something..

This is a very known problem I've had since I bought this Video card, Catalyst is a mess, it's full of complains all over the internet, it is totally overwhelming, I think I am rolling back because this brings me very bad memories..

thanks zigzag for your help

Sorry, I was hoping that would work. I have never experienced a problem like that doing those steps... There are ways to prevent that problem from occurring, but they take a lot of work and are fairly complicated. :(

One simple method that may work is: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/82137-drivers-turn-off-automatic-driver-installation.html

Nop, I did that from the beggining but it won't stop.
There is no solution for this for Home window in the internet as long as i know..

The motherboard drivers are just Storage drivers and ethernet, nothing important, I don't think any of those could be the cause of my BSOD's crashes so i am leaving it as it is now.
I recovered from an image and I ll just wait for the crashes to happen again, maybe they won't come back, maybe yes, but I will not mess my system assuming things are the cause of a BSOD that just happened 3 times in 23 days..

Thanks

As I said, there are solutions to these issues for Home Premium users (I have Home Premium and have used the methods successfully), but they are rather complicated.

It is probably safer not to do anything and see if your system image resolved the crashes. If you want to address the other methods later, that is an option.

hey writhziden? is that you?

man eveything is been good with my system, no a single BSOD.

.....butlately my system is booting very slowly, I checked Administrative Events and there is a very repetitive Warning (in yellow) saying:

A request to this device has been cancelled.

Device \Device\RaidPort1
Model: WDC \WD1002FAEX
etc
etc
PORT: 1

That is my samples harddrive mentioned there, so I disconnected and the system booted very fast..

I don't think the HDD is damaged because it's new....
I think maybe it has something to do with a RAID PORT??

THANKS a lot, di you change your nickname i thought it was zigzag

zigzag3143 is a friend of mine on here, and he helped me learn how to diagnose crashes in the beginning.

Are you running a RAID configuration? Why RAID is (usually) a Terrible Idea - Puget Custom Computers

If you are unsure whether you are running a RAID configuration, do the following steps.
  1. Click Start Menu
  2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  5. Expand Disk Drives and check for RAID manufacturers (use Google or ask us by typing in manufacturers listed in your Disk Drives list)

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Hardware and Sound
  5. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  6. Expand Disk Drives and check for RAID manufacturers (use Google or ask us by typing in manufacturers listed in your Disk Drives list)

I think it was my chipset drivers.
I found this: NVSTOR; Lag spikes; Freezing; Stuttering; Sound; Glitches - Windows | Zuki.org.uk

luckily I have an image of my system exactly before installing my chipset drivers 5 days ago...
I'm recovering now and then I am installing the chipset drivers package but this time without the Storage Drivers..

Thanks I ll let you know if I do good!

it's solved, thanks ..
booting fine again and no error in system events related to my (D) drive.

....but still geting this error in RED everytime I boot:
The default transaction resource manager on
volume <D> encountered a non-retryable error and could not start. The data contains the error code.

I am not having problems with my system but that error is there, I guess I will have to learn to ignore it as most people do, ...

When I get time I'll come back with what you asked me in case that could help prevent something in the future..

Thanks alot
