I agree with gamble1984. Stay away from AMD - Just my two cents worth.

The spec seems a little small. If you really want to play some hardcore games, this spec mught be a little light on.

I'd be more inclined to look at memory running at 2133+ MHZ (yes, I know CPU SPD typically runs at 1600).

For a graphics card, a 7950+ or GTX 670+ would be a good starting point.

For a PSU - 500W is way to small. Try 650+ at least.

You don't say which Seagate drive. Check out the performance ratings at Passmark. All drives are not created equal, and they will be a bottle neck.

You also might want to look at an aftermarket cooler.

And for CPU, a K-series might be the way to go. Such as I7-3770K. That way you can crank it up and maybe get a few extra FPS.

You also didn't mention what your budget is.

The system spec I am running is what my kids run for their gaming systems. Except for the number of monitors, and they also only have one Blu-ray drive.

Again, just my two cents worth. I'm sure there are other gaming experts that will chime in with their thoughts.

Those posts are right, the best setup I've ever played on is Intel CPU with AMD GPU.

Yeah a budget would be great, and only and i mean ONLY get an i7 if your using programs with hyperthreading, games do not use it so dont waste the extra money - the i5 3570k is easily the best gaming chip out there at present which is value for money

I'm running an overclocked a6-3670k with an HD6670, and I rarely have problems running a game at 50fps..

Ive tried doing this, i can do an AMD set up, but it wouldn't be a brilliant gaming rig, but to go intel, a full rig on $600 is pushing it.

600 for a good Filet Mignon? I don't know... that might only get you cheeseburgers from MickyD's ;)

Seriously though... just the Combo of CPU+GPU+Mobo could be your budget and we still need RAM+PSU+Case+SDD/HDD. You may be able to do it with AMD but it would not be as good as an Intel Rig at the moment.

hmmm, sorry, I am 3 minutes late to the party... slow writer here! :D
