Building a new computer: Nothing turns on

Hello. I just finished building my new computer and I got it to turn on. Everything was running fine and I got this American Megatrends error thing so I went to go and fix that by turning it off and checking the cables. But when I tried to turn the computer back on nothing will turn on! The green motherboard lights up but nothing else actually works. This is not my first build either. Please help me

firstly check all your connections are all still where they should be. as well as the power and rest buttons. just to eliminate the simple things.

if that doesnt work id suggest taking everything out and reassembling it on a box outside of the case. this eliminates anything inside the case ect and will allpw you to double check everything before you put it all back in the case.

It would be very helpful to know what that error message said. American Megatrends is your BIOS/UEFI.
There are only a few common failure messages.

If your motherboard has the ability to beep, there are beep codes that can help in diagnosing failure. The beeps are either long or short - like Morse Code.

Newer motherboards have diagnostic LEDs on them. They output a 2 character code. On failure the code indicates the fail state.
