Built-in Laptop Mic won't register sounds except for my Sound Recorder

Title.

I've tried get recordings to work on the likes of Skype and Vocaroo but nothing seems to work. But my Sound Recorder picks up everything and the Sound toolbar is also responsive. What gives?

I'm his friend and i recommended him this forum, don't let me down, will ya ?

The Program that works is called "Sound Recorder", he already tried using another Microphone Recording Program but it doesn't change anything .

He also allowed Vocaro to use his Microphone and Skype also "sees" his Microphone, it just doesn't record any sound in both of these cases .
