Burning Cd Problems

hi there
since i have installed windows 7, i have not been abe to burn cd's with any of my burning software which used to work fine with Vista.
The program runs like it is actually burning something, and it marks the disks but nothing is burnt on the cd's...
its only been since i installes windows 7
any help would be awesome

i have tried Roxio and Nero 10 both did the same thing
what built in software??
any idea why they are not working though??

Windows 7 has built-in burning capabilities. Use Windows Media Player to burn audio, explorer to burn data, etc.

Did you search to see if there is a driver for your drive itself, I used to have a lite scribe drive that did the same thing with any burning program until i found the driver for it.

i do have a light scribe drive

how do i find the new drivers,

To burn data files to a disc, drag-n-drop them to the blank CD.

Go to the manufacturer's site, and look in the downloads/support section for a compatible driver.

Go into Device Manager and right click on your drive and hit Properties. The info/model number should all be right there.
