Works somewhat ion 64bit. The opening animations (game menu) dont run, so its just a static picture. For some reason the highest resolution is 1280*960 not 1024 like with XPSP3. But it does play.

I tried to install and play the game today, the only thing i saw was "A serious error has occured" and the game crashes out. The install wasn't run as administrator, but i was logged in teh admin account and UAC was disabled at the time, anyone got any ideas?

Copy the contents of your ReleaseCrashInfo.txt from your Zero Hour Data folder. I had to copy my old profile files into the data folder to make it work here.

Also, you can apply custom stock resolutions by editing the options.ini file. This setting works fine here, but still doesn't allow height to see more on the screen.

Resolution = 1920 1080

YMMV.

I have noticed that some settings here give a directx crash on launch, so try a different one if that happens.

Works on my machine - Win 7 x64 Ultimate SP1. Had to set it to run in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode though. It loaded without it but wouldn't load the menu movie.

1920 x 1080 didn't work for me though in the ini file...

You can alter the zoom level in one of the game files. But you need a big extractor for it.
Also if you want the game to look a bit more like standard games now do... you can try this awesome mod which had been in development for ages. :P
It won't exactly look 'new', but it adds a lot more to the game. It's called Shockwave: Welcome to C&C: ShockWave - A C&C Generals Zero Hour modification The final version (1.1) was released 1 month ago.

The community there is quite large. I'm quite sure there are some people there who can help you with tweaking this zoom function. ^^

Generals Works On Win7 but It won't run menu movie and I had always problem with resolution even when i had win xp(some of problems is from directX some from programming of game it selves)

C&C Generals is a bug itself

1.it not important with what kind of computer you play multiplayer it will become slow
I Play this game with 10years old computer smoother than my ASUS G71Gx notebook

2.all of 8 players map have problem in all kind of OS with all kind of hardwares

It's not the game, yea EA pushed the release too much. But everything got patched... The Problem is in the SAGE engine. We can't solve the engine. :S
The menu movie/map works not on windows 7. On all forums I've seen it won't work. And nobody knows why. :S

Edit: If you want to see more of the screen you'll have to edit INIZH.big.
Search for "MaxCamera", and change it to around 600. This won't break multiplayer but gives you very high zoom. ^^

I've done the options.ini fix that was detailed in another forum but it still refuses to run and when the load screen comes up it says the .EXE file has stopped working. What do I do?
