My chat with ASUS support

Thought this might be helpful
I wanted to know what the files were for before deleting them in task scheduler

Peter B.
Hello Greg, thank you for contacting ASUS support. Please give me a few moments to review your information. I will be with you shortly.
How may I assist you today?
Greg
Hello
I ran CCleaner on my system and it deleted the 130603Log.iniis lost file from temp folder
I see from forums I can disable this in task scheduler but I was wondering what the files are for and if I need them
Is there any way to restore them
there were two log files
C:\users\GREG\AppData\local\Temp\130603Log.iniis lost
C:\users\GREG\AppData\local\Temp\132501Log.iniis lost
Peter B.
They're temp files that are not needed in which they're deleted.
Select the start menu, and search for "Task Scheduler", then select the "Task Scheduler" to launch it
In the center pane of the Task Scheduler window, under the "Active Tasks" section, locate the "i-setup" item and double click it
Select the "Delete" option in the right pane

Greg
Ok but will they be restored after reboot? I assume they serve some purpose
1:03 Ok so you'e saying they are not needed?
Peter B.
Correct. They are old log files.
Greg
ok so new log files will be created?
I just want to be sure I'm not turning off a service that is needed, It's in task scheduler for a reason
Peter B.
Its only for the initial installation of Asus programs.
Greg
Ah ok great thank you very much
Peter B.
You are welcome.
If you have any other inquiries, feel free to contact us again.
Greg
