I've tried everything, Admin, XP compatibility, both. Singe player starts fine (with admin).

Go into the sound option in the control panel and in the recording tab right click and show disabled and look for stereo mix that needs to be enabled.

Black screen for about 5 seconds then closes. And no I haven't installed any patches.
