Call of Duty 2 multiplayer won't work!?!?!?! WINDOWS 7

Call of duty 2 multiplayer does not work, but the single player does. I have windows 7 and got it recently (yesterday) and I have no idea why it won't work! Someone please help me and tell me what i need to do. Ps. I do not know much about computers so please be specific! Thanks

Do you have a firewall blocking the program? Most games usually add an exception, but try going to your Anti-virus program and/or firewall and "allowing that program" internet access.

Call of Duty was created for older versions of Windows, if that is the case...this might help: Call of duty 2 (COD2) Bugs

I'm having the problem and nothing is working! I run in administrator, use compatibility mode(Windows XP Service Pack 3) and nothing! Doesn't even start up. I need some help!
