Hey first of all, I downloaded win7 from microsoft so everything is original and second. This problem showed yesterday, when I came home from a lan party, so it's possible that some hardware died.

Anyways, onto the problem.. If I try to run Call of duty 2 or Call of duty 4 MP, I get a black screen and than I the game closes down and I'm at the desktop. No game procceses are running. The thing is, that it's only these two games that are having this problem. Other games work just fine. I tried uninstalling - doesn't work.

Any ideas are welcome.

Bye

I have been running CoD4:MW MP/SP with no problems on W7 64bit...if the problem is only with MP it might have to do with PB...a punkbuster fix is a sticky at the top of this game section forum that may have some info that can help you...if other games/programs work fine I don't think you have any hardware failures

I would try setting the machine up the same way you had it at the LAN. I know this might sound nuts but I remember in the past there was a small problem with COD4 doing a blackscreen or crashing to desktop with no errors but when you plugged a mic in the game boot with no problems.

Call of Duty 2 and Windows 7

Ok, guys I just spent nearly 2000 dollars on a gaming computer. Currently I'm running Windows 7 and my Call of Duty 2 game installed ok for single player but when I try using the multiplayer part it blinks a couple of times then I get a message that Windows is looking for a solution to the problem and that once it does it will contact me. I've tried running it as XP mode and did not work. Ialso tried as administrator and nothing. The auto play doesn't seem to work either so any ideas need some help thanks.
