It's not the "originality" of the COD franchise that makes me think Advanced Warfare looks like Titanfall - it's the fact that they chose the EXACT same year that Titanfall came out to enter the "futuristic warfare" storyline.
Actually, it's not even that. The storyline of the SP is going to be interesting in this next COD because of private militaries for hire etc. like the mentioned G4S (where I actually used to work), but the fact that they utilized futuristic armor and setting just screams "WE'RE NOT LAME YET! (WE JUST FOLLOW TRENDS BECAUSE WE HAVE NO IDEAS AND JUST WANNA TO GET PAID MILLIONS EVERY YEAR)!", which is just f-ing pathetic. Anyone but twelve year olds that get their first boners to COD are going to say that.
And I TOTALLY agree with 3Colors, COD 2 and 4 were the best ever. COD2 is my personal favorite FPS of all time, and there still hasn't been a shooter that even comes close (I don't count HL2 as it's more story driven and has more depth to it... plus, it's goddamn HL lol) to the epicness of that game.
I was really, REALLY looking forward to Black Ops 3 this year because after the ridiculous melodrama of the MW franchise, the BO storyline was much more personal and enticing, something that Medal of Honor tried to preserve with 2010 and Warfighter but ultimately failed on all other fronts (MOH always prided itself as being historically very accurate etc. but when I saw a mission in Bosnia where the locals spoke f-ing RUSSIAN, I lost it and sent a... let's just say a VERY strong worded letter to the devs and EA because I was SO goddamn disappointed), and seeing as how Sledgehammer games are developing this game, I was actually hoping for something even remotely new. Now, we just get a slightly better storyline in a half-Titanfall/Halo setting with recycled lame-a$$ MP and a bad taste in my mouth that just tells me "get rid of this and just play Titanfall".
COD: Reycled Warfare 1, 2, 3 + is all we can look forward to in the next decade from Sledgehammer, yaaaaaaay /sarcasm
