Call Of Duty: World At War

I posted in the other topic of the WaW

It is that the profile is corrupted and you need to regenerate it.

What profile are you speaking of? Win 7 profile, WAW profile? What do you mean regenerate it? I can't even get WAW to start.
Thanks for the reply.

I have uninstalled it but when I installed it the first time it would not initialize or start. I would get a splash screen and then it would act like it was opening but then nothing. My Event Viewer said stated the XAudio2_0.dll was the faulting module. That was after I loaded the 1.4 patch. So I am going to reload and try it without the patch and c what happens.
Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply. There actually was a newer driver for my Diamond 7.1 sound card, but the driver was from C-Media. How that happens I am not sure but it worked. Installing the newest driver, which I thought I had, lol, seemed to fix things right up. Thanks for all your help. Now I need to load 1.4 patch. The servers I found pre-1.4 were lagging at best, in fact I only found 1 with a population. So I am assuming that once I load the 1.4 patch I will find different servers. AT least that is how it works on COD 4. I'll let you know how it works.

I didn't know if I should make a new thread or post in this one, but I have a legit COD5 disc that came w/ a EVGA video card.

I tried running as administrator, updating PB, and safe mode but whenever I try to join a punk buster enabled server the screen loads, I pick a team and the screen goes black and "crashes". But I can play perfectly fine on non-punkbuster servers. And yes, it is allowed in my firewall, and in Avast. It's been updated, and running as administrator. Anyone have any idea whats wrong? Running W7 7600 x64.

Because I wasnt sure on how to do that. You can just update over the old version or you need to format and make a clean install?

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know how I managed to get CoD:WaW working on my Windows 7 setup.

First of all I spent ages trying to get this game working on my setup, I upgraded all my drivers and did the whole change my sound to 24bit 48000hz and deleted the profile and tried to create a new one. But nothing worked, also I was getting slightly different errors to what everyone else seemed to be getting.

So I checked my event viewer and found the error that has been coming up everytime I try to run the game, and I noticed this in the error:
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\kaseyasp.dll
Fortunately I know what that kaseyasp.dll is (part of some management software I have on my computer), so I uninstalled the software to test it, ran the game and it went off without a hitch.

Hopefully this will help someone else as well.

Cheers
Murty! :D

Hello

i stated this in another thread, but ill say it again:

what happens is when i launch CoDWaWmp.exe, the splash screen loads, as normal, and then the screen goes black, the computer locks-up, keyboard and mouse unresponsive, i have to reset my computer.

i have looked on many forums, and have tried all of their suggestions, i have set the audio to 24-bit 48000 Hz, and while that fixed the singleplayer (CoDWaW.exe) it did not help the multiplayer, i have also tried removing Treyarch.bik, to no effect, i have also tried every compatibility mode, and it still does not work.

The game did work in windows XP, and i remember i did get it working in windows 7, however i do not remember how i did it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
