Do you have the Vista drivers for it? Many devices work just fine in Windows 7 with Vista drivers.

Another app is PhoneTray Free from TraySoft.

You can route CIDs to individual ringtones and answer wavs. I use it as my home phone manager. I run an XP machine 24/7 just to handle the phones.

Just curious, is it possible to get caller ID over my PC without a modem present in my PC?
If so, what software can I use to do this?

thx

Extract the files to a folder.
Open Device Manager
Open modem
Update driver
Navigate to folder
select inf
Apply

Failing that

All modems have an FCC ID on a sticker or printed directly on the circuit board. Using that number, it is possible to identify all modems built from the same chipset.

I do not want to do this using that method. A new modem is so inexpensive - as low as $5 if you shop right. Where do you live? I can mail you a modem with working drivers.
