Can someone take a look at these files tell me if theres anything pointing at something specific, I am getting a generic BSoD that I saw in the past with a bad HD and now after months with a new HD and other new components I am getting it again. It seems to show up when playing games as I am sitting on the machine browsing and its fine.

This is my baby and I really really don't like it when shes not performing well. No new hardware at all in months.

I'm not sure why these are popping up again; they stopped for a few months. Uninstall any ASUS software that is currently installed (ASUS Probe, AI Suite, etc.). If there is none, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, then find and rename ASACPI.SYS to ASACPI.BAK and restart the computer. Let us know if BSOD's persist.

Uninstalled the only ASUS software there was and renamed that file as you stated. Rebooting PC and hoping this fixes it, thanks for the help.

*Edit* Spoke too soon, it BSoD'd again, Ill get the new dump files in a minute.

Yes I went into root\system32\drivers and renamed it to .bak . I will try searching for all instances of that file and see if I can find something I missed. The machine is at home currently running a memtest86 run, as I wanted to make sure it wasn't a memory issue.

Also just a question but how can a file such as ASACPI.SYS cause a hardware based BSoD Fault?

I've dealt with this BSoD before however the last time it was a faulty HD, which was replaced and the problem was GONE. This computers components with the exception of the CPU are less than 1 yr old for everything, in some cases less than 6months old. And this problem just came about after upgrading to Win7Ult64 from VistaHP64. The computer is currently running memtest86, and I have done all of those steps upto #7 on that page, with the problem still there. I have NO problem reinstalling the OS, but I wanted to see if there was someone to decode my dump files to figure out where the issue might be coming from.

I am prepared to replace the CPU/Mobo/HD to correct this issue if necessary, but I simply cannot afford to replace the entire computer.

Found ASACPI.sys also stored here:

However even with full admin rights, cause its my PC it will not let me remove or rename it.

Actually I removed the system device from device manager which uses that file and drivers. This is something I found on Asus's site, but what I don't get is if they know this is causing problems why hasn't it been fixed?

Well its back again, heres the latest set of dump files.

Also after the last crash I did try that utility you posted jack, rebooting now and going to let it run and see what happens.

Still crashing, ugh I think I am gonna replace the board/proc/harddrive... The ram was tested for over 10 hours with zero errors.

Download Autoruns from the SysInternals site or heck download the entire suite.
Run Autoruns.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR and simply uncheck those offenders. You do not need to delete them, simply uncheck them.

I regularly run autoruns.exe just to make sure that some software has stuck something in to run at startup time that I do not desire or need. My system runs well.

Oh yes, my experience has been that some ASUS software is better not installed. I have an ASUS 1002ha/xp with Win7 on it (They now officially support Win7 for that netbook.)

I did that earlier I even traced down the file in process explorer. Still not happening, so I am doing a blastout and reinstall of WVistaHP64 and I am gonna let that run see if it crashes or not. I want it stable before I push the upgrade to 7.

Well aside from the spammer who just replied, I blew out my partition then formatted it, installed Vista64, did NOTHING but install the network driver for my ethernet adapter and right after the driver installed it BSoD'd again. Yes its legit, OEM builders copy from newegg.com, even still have the receipt. And from what I can tell so far what I have now is a video card driver issue. I have updated that with the latest drivers from Nvidia and we shall see how it goes.

I word to the wise. Besides the obvious annoyance of having to put the DMP file in c:\windows\mindump, who crashed is often wrong in its conclusions. Should you want to use one of the one click wonders, I would suggest blue screen view, and even that comes to premature conclusions. in the case you just sited it was a 124 bug check which is always hardware, not Bios. Just a FYI

Both DMP3 and DMP4 were caused by hardware. I have not been fowwlowing this thrread and so dont know what has been previously suggested. here are some helpful instructions on your problem http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

This system has been running fine for months, then I installed win7 upgrade and it was fine till just a few days ago when it just out of the blue started to BSoD, most of my components are 1 yr old or less, excluding the CPU, the ram was tested for over 10 hours and no errors found. You can see the full specs in my system specs list, I have a really hard time believing its really a bad component, but I know it's not out of the question at this point, however everything I have read on the error I currently have its either video card driver issue in which I now have the latest drivers from Nvidia direct, or it's a PCI-E slot issue of some sort.

Oh and I have done everything I can within the x124 suggestions OS reinstall, memory burn test = good, cpu burn test = good, harddrive test = good, power supply voltage checks = good, so at this point I am looking at the Mobo. I can replace my CPU and mobo both for $300, its about all I can afford to replace but if it fixes the issue I'm all for it.
