Can I buy windows 7 ultimate product key from my friend?

Please guide me about the way i buy windows 7 product key from my friend. He is moving from windows to linux platform he is offering me windows 7 ultimate license key in discount in $70 with dvd. Is this fair price for that what would you say

OEM keys are tied to the original computer on which it was sold.

I am not a geek but he told me he had ultimate key with dvd i honestly dont know whether it's orignal or fake or even what kind of serial key it is.

Just ask him to go here for a iso download of the version and language
If he gets a download from M$ it's a retail

But an OEM Windows 7 Ultimate install is very rare, usually only came with a special order PC.

99% of Ultimate installs will be retail.
