Solved Can I do this and if so how?

My sound is working fine my question is when I listen to music from wmp through my headphones or speakers while playing online backgammon can I disable the sounds of game being played I have already disabled the click sounds as I surf the net but do not know how to do this if it can be done

Not sure if the option is in Backgammon itself or not, but the quickest and easiest is to click on the speaker icon near the clock and click on Mixer and then mute just the game from there.

No it is not an option in the game site and do you mean mixer applications system sounds.

I see what you mean and it works thank you I did'nt know when I played backgammon it added itself to the list on mixer screen

Right click the sound / volume icon in the notification area, choose Open Volume Mixer from context menu. You can now adjust the volume individual for every application.
