It seems like my computer doesn't support running Aero, so now I'm stuck with the basic theme. I was just wondering if I could have the Aero theme without any transparencies, superbar thumbnails, or any other fancy effects, just the different window styles.

I remember being able to do that with Vista Basic, though now with Windows 7 Ultimate it seems like you're stuck with Basic if your computer can't run Aero.

Welcome wrongusername, Here's something you might want to read.
Changing Window Color in Win7 Without Aero
Also you may want to search for a third party theme that resembles what you want.
hope that helps you out.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but.
My wife did not like how the boarders around IE8 and other programs were transparent and wanted them back the way they were in WinXP

Right mouse click on desktop
Select Personalize
Uncheck the Transparency box
Selected what color I liked (BLUE)
Slide the slider to the right.
SEE PIC

If this isn't what you were asking about.. Never mind. :D
