Solved Can I make a new partition?

hello guys... I'm wondering if It's okay for me to make a new partition from a friend's laptop which has only 1 drive with a 320GB capacity. I have this MiniTool Partition Wizard but I'm hesitating to make a partition coz It might affect the system files stored in that drive. Would It? Please give some advice... I'd really appreciate It.

PW or Disk Management (as stated by Yowan) will do this. However, I would definitely create a system image to an external drive (or a network drive, if supported) before attempting. You shouldn't have any problems, but it's not guaranteed that your current data will be safe.

Many recommend the free version of Macrium Reflect. If something goes wrong and your data is lost, you merely restore the image to the system drive.
