Sorry in advance if this isn't the right place for this question.

Our company in the past bought a number of Windows 7 packs off Amazon and other locations. I was going through the ones we don't use, and came across one I hadn't seen before. It is "Win Home Prem 7 32-bit English 30pk DSP 30 OEI DVD", ISBN 882224940153, Item PN GFC-01042.

Googling this gave me a few results that seem to say this is a 30-pack of Win7 licenses? For example, these:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32 BIT License AND Media OEM GFC01042 882224940153 | eBay
Amazon.com: Windows Home Premium 7 32-bit English 30 Pack DSP 30 OEI DVD: Software

The item is unopened, we never used it. Is this legal for me to sell? The ebay rules are confusing, to say the least. Amazon/Craigslist, I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

So long as the package in unopened, and the Licensing terms are readable under the outer wrapping, then yes, it's legal to sell it as one unit - you cannot sell the licenses individually so far as I know.

Hi,

Ok, thanks for the response!

However, after looking at it some more, I'm not convinced it really is a 30pack. I attached a picture. The smaller sticker is placed over the bigger sticker, and the GFC code results in 1-license hits from google.

I don't understand enough about how licenses work, is there a way I can determine what I have here? I don't want to mistakenly sell someone the wrong thing.

That package looks OK to me (although I've never seen similar before).
If you're still concerned, I would suggest phoning MS direct - using your local contact from this list...
https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx
When you phone, do NOT respond to any request to enter a number - you should end up being able to speak to a live body (which is not necessarily an intelligent one, but... :))

Thanks for the link!

I called, and was told that there was just 1 license available for this product key.

Which is what I was pretty much expecting, I suppose...I can't imagine us ever buying a 30pack license.

Thanks for your help!

Please give a detailed description of the package - from what I saw in your photos, it looked genuine.
1) how many disks did it have? (could be either 1, 2 or 30)
2) how many copies of the 'manual'? (in theory, I believe it should be 30)
3) How many Product Keys? (should be 30)

How many copies of the OEM System Builder License terms? ( I would think only the one)

Hi,

1) It came with 1 disk.

2) One 'manual'.

3) One Product Key

No copies of any "OEM System Builder License" terms, other than what is printed on the package.

Ah - yes, in that case, it sounds like a knock-off :(
