Yes, that's the one. I also switched to OpenDNS. Problem seems to be resolved. Thanks! I appreciate the assist. I've been working with computers since the days of wire wound memory and Winchester drives, but not so much in the last 10 years. Now it's just a small portion of the job.

I think you did all the hard work there. Sometimes DNS lookup servers get overloaded especially if you stick with using the one provided by your ISP.

Hello there,

Try this with elevated command prompt (Run As Administrator) every time you install windows
or you can use it as a batch file running in admin mode (Run As Aminstrator) as well

netsh interface ip add dns name="Local Area Connection" addr=208.67.222.222 index=1
netsh interface ip add dns name="Local Area Connection" addr=208.67.220.220 index=2

EXIT

after that, shut down PC and reboot !
