can one computer infect another computer?

Please help: I have one computer at my home wifi network, it is infected by virus, mostly like is keylogger, will it affect another computer on the same wifi network? thank you.

Any time two computers are connected in any fashion; wired or wifi they can infect each other.

Thank you. How do they infect each other, may you give me an explanation? and what should I do? is setting from network sharing to let them not be able to see each other ok ?

Computer worms are one type of malware that specifically tries to spread to other computers. The Wikipedia page has more info.

I can't really answer what you should do because I've taken another approach so I don't have to worry about it - disabled these functions related to LAN traffic:
- File and printer sharing
- Client for Microsoft Networks
- NetBIOS over TCP/IP
- Homegroup and sharing
- Network discovery
- Public folder sharing
and firewall rules related to the above

Network security can be very high tech for experts which I'm not one of them.

Tookeri, I like your approach. I am trying to do the same.

My computer keeps get infected on my wifi network. There are some other computers have to regularly connect to that wifi network where I use. If choose not join to any home group of that wifi network, let the computer to be set up as a public one with Network discovery off, will it be safe? thank you all.

I think so. You could also uncheck these 2 in the properties for the Wi-Fi connection



And to be really sure: disable the related rules in the firewall.
