I'm posting this as a follow up. So far everything is good. Maybe the 7 gigs MS disk cleanup found and removed corrected the problem I'm experiencing. Time will tell.
ThrashZone: my computers have never had chrome installed. All of the are using the latest IE. One of the programs I'm always using is from GM and if there is a problem with their software, they won't offer support unless the computer meets their hardware and software standards
