Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD. Ax0, I'd already done the clean uninstall/install per your instructions a while back.
Any other thoughts or should I just plump for a new card?

Just follow it, these make sure that you install no software that can be causing problems.

I wouldn't understand why you would get a new card while a BSOD hasn't occured in weeks.

I have already done the clean install.
Are you saying there is something in the logs that suggests I need to do it again?

That is what I'm saying, the atikmdag.sys/atikmdag.sys drivers are AMD display drivers, these drivers are one of the most frequent causes of BSODs. Normally at least 3 different drivers needs to be tried before we should move on to checking the temperature what is done by stress testing, checking if the GPU is improper seated or damaged, if it receives enough power, if it is overclocked, etc.

The difference with the previous suggestion is that I've now included a tutorial in which is explained how to install drivers only.

Yes, I let that choice up to you, I'm not familiair with any driver that could be stable
