Can you run a phone line (1 network) off 2 modems?

Hey, I was wondering because my wireless isn't very fast and I have a bad signal.
so could i run 2 modems off 1 phone line (in 1 network)

yes, or you could use a bridge or an access point if you are wanting to boost your signal to extend its range.
