I have 3 computers hooked to my network (1 wireless) all working and have internet services. I have another one with a fresh install of Win 7 Home Premium that I cannot get on the Internet with. I can see all of my computers in windows explorer and can ping all of them but cannot get on the internet with the new one. I have compared all Ipconfigs and they all seem to be about the same. I cannot hookup wired or wireless with the one. Nothing yellowed in the Device Manage except modem that I do not use. Comcast Cable Modem/Router Arris TC862. Any help would be appreciated.

I have done that many times after reading possible fixes and then restarting and still have the same problem. I have called Comcast and they even reset my modem/router for me, still nothing happening.

If you can post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine I can have a look at it. :)

If you can see the other wireless connections in the area that means the driver is installed. Of course there could be a better driver. Be sure and check is caps are on or not for the password and you should be set up to use WPA2 with AES security.

I'd like to see the ipconfig/all so I can see what isn't right with your particular connection.

You are showing a valid IP on the ipconfig/all.

I searched around on this TG862.

Apparently it has problems working with certain Windows machines. From what I have read upgrading or changing to a different model of modem can fix this problem. I personally would go with a standard modem + an actual router instead of one of these modem/router combo units. Even one of the Comcast tech guys had this problem.

You can read about this rather strange problem with the TG862 in the link below.
Comcast Arris TG862 Gateway modem+router Won’t connect to ASUS X401A Mini-Laptop | CodeSlayer2010 : Slaying Code 24x7!

Got the problem fixed. In the modem page there is a place for Parental Controls and the problem computer was disabled as a trusted computer. Changing it to enabled as a trusted computer, it now works fine. Thanks for all your help. The Modem was an Arris 862 GW/CT from Comcast.
