Well, I'm having a bit more problems :/ In the BIOs i switched it to ACHI mode and then back to disabled.. since then there has been issues. Windows 7 was no longer recognized and I couldn't get it to go back by doing what I did before. I got the drivers from gigabytes site and when I choose the drivers they're all JMicron. The driver didn't matter much. I tried all of them. Windows still isn't recognized. Startup repair said there wasn't a partition with Windows.
Though I ran the minitool partition wizard and it recognizes it and all the data in my HD. So is the data safe? If I were to just get a new HD and install windows on it, could I just use my WDC for storage or just transfer the files to my new HD and then just swipe it clean with a new partition? I like that the data is there and I'd get a new HD rather than doing a clean install... unless there is a way to just fix this.
