Ok i have tried finding solutions for this but with no avail so here goes.

I cannot connect to the internet.
I can connect to my wireless internet but not get any internet access.
Connected but as "unidentified network" and "no internet access"
Laptop Compaq Presario CQ42 brand new virtually nothing done to it.
Belkin 54g router
Does connect to local maccas wifi and does have internet access
Using network adapter Realtek RTL8191SE
Diagnosis comes up with "Wireless network connection doesn't have valid IP configuration"

Any help is appreciated, this is driving me nuts.

Hmm...when you attempt to connect wirelessly, bring up the Network and Sharing Center and go to "Change Adapter Settings", then right-click on your Wireless Connection and click Status. Then click on Details and post the IPv4 Address you get. Then close that window and click on Properties and double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) v4 and see if everything is set to come up automatically or not.
