Solved Cannot delete System Folder

Hello, I recently installed Samsung software onto my PC in order to transfer some files from my phone to my PC. When I finished I uninstalled it but it left a System Folder that I cannot delete. There is no delete option in the right-click menu and when I click on Properties I receive "The Properties for this item are not available". I've tried to delete through Safe mode but had no luck. Any suggestions?

does the samsung show as a device in devices and printers. if so right click it and select remove this device and the folder in "computer" will dissapear.

No, unfortunately it doesn't.

maybe worth re installing the software then see if the phone shows in devices and printers ,or connect via bluetooth to your pc ,then try again to remove this device in devices and printers ,then see if the folder disappears and then uninstall the software

Okay, I will try it. I was looking at the tutorial for deleting folders via command prompt but do not know what the path for this folder would be.

when i had a look i saw three folders in computer for three phones one is an old one i dont ever use so i removed it from devices and printers and then checked again and the folder was gone from computer. im not sure it will do it for you but worth a try, otherwise its probably going to need removing from the registry and i have no idea where you would begin to find it in there ,in fact i stay out of there at all costs.
however we have some very competent members here who could probably help with that.

And give another try. You could also try to click/drag the pesky thing from the explorer window to the Recycle bin.

I tried what you suggested but it has no Take ownership option in right click menu. Couldn't drag the file either. Bloody Samsung! lol

You did download and merge the reg file?

its not a real folder it is like a shortcut to the device , if the device is installed then you can probably remove it again as i said before by right clicking the device in devices and printers,and then select remove this device

what i would do is not install the software but try connecting the phone by turning on bluetooth on the phone and the pc and in devices and printers click add device, once it prompts you to add the phone it will connect the phone to the pc by adding the drivers etc. then it will show up in the dev and printers page as a phone icon , this is what to remove again to see if it takes the folder with it from computer.

Got fed up so I just recovered my system to an earlier image state using windows so it's not a problem now! Thanks for the suggestions!
